Abstract

The world of education occupies a strategic position in the process of improving the quality of human resources in line with the current reforms towards democracy and civil society . Today was the unrest in the community because it seems the symptoms of the gap between the output of educational institutions with the availability of jobs that are not balanced . Education for the people who are building such as the Indonesian nation is an absolute necessity that should be developed in line with the demands of development step by step . Education is managed in an orderly, organized, efficient and able to produce something that is able to accelerate the process of acculturation nation based principal in the creation of public welfare and the intellectual life of our nation , the purpose of the national education itself. This study is intended to allow teachers to know whether the motivation , discipline , responsibility and working environment affect the job performance of teachers SMPN 4 Waru . This research was conducted using a quantitative approach to research that focuses on testing the hypothesis with analysis tools and statistical methods produce results that can be generalized The sample in this study were teachers SMPN 4 Waru . Sampling in this study conducted using a convenience sampling method . The analysis used is multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS 16.0 software . After testing the above hypothesis , the obtained regression coefficient of 0.346 motivation variable , the variable discipline at 0,157 , the variable of 0.539 responsibilities and work environment variables at 0.416 . And the value of the F test of 24.365 F count > F table 2.47 significance level ( 0.000 ) < α ( 0.05 ) which means that the variables of motivation , discipline , responsibility and working environment simultaneously affect work performance . The test results T motivations worth t count 2,176 > t table 2.056 , discipline variables worth t count 2,104 > t table 2.056 , variable liable worth t count 3,082 > t table 2.056 , and work environment variables worth t count 2,369 > t table 2.056 , which means variable motivation, discipline , responsibility and working environment affect work performance partially. And in the study was the responsibility variables that most affect job performance
