Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of leadership style andcompensation on employee performance through job satisfaction as anintervening variable at PT. Intiland DevelopmentTbk Surabaya (Intiland TowerSurabaya). Sampling in this study using simple random sampling technique,namely the employees of PT. Intiland Tower Surabaya, amounting to 52employees. With the method of data collection through questionnaires, and inprocessing data using path analysis through the SPSS 25.0 for windows program.Based on the results of the study with a significance level of 5%, it can beconcluded that: 1) Leadership style has a positive and not significant effect onJob Satisfaction of 0.311and t arithmetic (0.823) <t table (1.674); 2)Compensation has a negative and not significant effect on Job Satisfaction of-0.239 and t arithmetic (0.631) <t table (1.674); 3) Leadership Style has a positiveand not significant effect on Employee Performance of 0.358 and t arithmetic(1.140) <t table (1.674); 4) Compensation has negative and not significant effecton employee performance of-0,358 and t arithmetic (-1,143) <t table (1,674); 5)Job Satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performanceof 0.558 and t arithmetic (4.744) <t table (1.674); 6) Leadership Style has apositive and not significant effect on Employee Performance with Job Satisfactionas an intervening variable of 0.174 and t arithmetic (-0.2) <t table (0.213); 7)Compensation has a negative and not significant effect on EmployeePerformance with Job Satisfaction as an intervening variable of-0,133 and tarithmetic (-0,070) <t table (-0,228);
