Abstract
This research was conducted to determine the effect of leadership and work environment on employee performance through employee satisfaction as an intervening variable. The purpose of this study is to find out the direct effect of each variable, and the indirect influence between leadership and work environment variables on employee performance through employee satisfaction as an intervening variable. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach, namely. Research that focuses on hypothesis testing with statistical method analysis tools and conclusions. The population of this study is consumers of PT. Ekos Jaya Abadi Lestari Sidoarjo Regency with a sample of 50 respondents using the Slovin formula. Methods of collecting documentation and questionnaires. While data analysis is done through path analysis to determine the direct effect of using SPSS 25.0 for windows and for indirect effects using the sobel test method. Based on the results of path analysis it is known that the direct influence of leadership variables has a coefficient of 0.624 with a statistical value of 2.785 on employee satisfaction, the work environment variable has a coefficient of 0.352 with a statistical value of 2.569 for employee satisfaction, leadership variable has a coefficient of 0.639 with a statistical value of on employee performance, the work environment variable has a coefficient of 0.688 with a statistical value of 3.740 on employee performance, the employee satisfaction variable has a coefficient of 0.443 with a statistical value of 3.800 on employee performance, and the results of indirect influence on employee performance through employee satisfaction the coefficient value generated from the sobel test is 0.276 with a statistical value of 3.285, the work environment variable on performance through employee satisfaction has a coefficient of 0.155 with indigo i statistic 2.152. Based on these results it can be seen that the indirect effect of work environment variables on employee performance through employee satisfaction is the least dominance compared to the influence between other variables.
