Abstract

This study entitled "The effect of workload, leadership style and work environment on the work productivity of employees at PT Siantar Top, Tbk" aims to know partially and simultaneously the workload, leadership style, and work environment towards the productivity of employees of PT. Siantar Top, Tbk. This research is quantitative research. The instrument of this study used a questionnaire. The population in this study were employees of PT. Siantar Top, Tbk as many as 344 employees. The samples taken in this study were 77 respondents which were determined by simple random sampling technique. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to test the hypothesis of this study using the SPSS version 22 program for Windows. The results of the study with a significance level of 5% indicate that: (1) Workload has a positive and significant effect on employee productivity with tobserved of 2.138 and a significance value of 0.036. (2) The leadership style does not have a positive and insignificant effect on employee productivity with a tobserved of 1.077 and a significance value of 0.285. (3) The work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee productivity with tobserved of 5.093 and a significance value of 0.000. (4) Workload, leadership style, and work environment together have a positive and significant effect on employee productivity with Fobserved of 16,272 and a significance value of 0,000. The coefficient of determination R2 is 0.401 which means that 40.1% of the productivity of employees of PT. Siantar Top, Tbk is influenced by workload variables, leadership style, and work environment. Whereas 59.9% is influenced by other variables outside of this study. Work environment variables that have more dominant influence on the productivity of employees of PT. Siantar Top, Tbk with a beta coefficient of 0.646 and a significance value of 0.000 <0.05.
