Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of variable compensation and work environment on employee performance through employee job satisfaction. The purpose of this study was to determine the direct effect between the variable compensation and work environment on employee performance, the indirect effect between the variable compensation and work environment on employee performance through employee job satisfaction as an intervening variable. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach viz. Research that focuses on testing hypotheses with statistical method analysis tools and generating conclusions. The population of this research is the employees of PT. Ekosjaya Abadi Lestari. By using the rondom sampling method from 240 research employees took 70 of them as research material. The method of collecting documentation and questionnaire data. While data analysis is done through path analysis to determine the direct effect using SPSS 25.0 for windows and for the indirect effect using the sobel test method. Based on the results of the path analysis it is known that the direct effect of the variable compensation has a coefficient of 0.373 with a statistical value of 3.568 on employee performance. Work environment variables have a coefficient of 0.296 with a statistical value of 2.168 on employee performance. In the indirect path analysis test, the compensation variable gets a sobel test value of 1.225 which is stated not to affect employee performance through job satisfaction, but in the work environment variable, it is very dominantly affecting the performance because it has a value of 5.574.
