Abstract

This study aims to determine the full time gojek driver’s income greater or smaller than the Regional Minimum Wages (UMR) applicable in the city of Surabaya based on the attachment of the East Java Governor’s decision Number 188/665/KPTS/013/2018 about setting the regional minimum wages (UMR) district/city in East Java in 2019. This research was conducted using a descriptive quantitative methods. The sample in this study is a full time gojek driver. The sample of respondents in this study used incidental sampling techniques. Data collection in this study used a questionnaire and documentation. The results of data analysis in this study is to calculate the net income of gojek drivers and compare net income of gojek drivers with regional minimum wages (UMR) in the city of Surabaya. The results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the net income received by full time gojek drivers exceeds the amount of UMR in Surabaya. The highest net income that can be obtained by a gojek driver is Rp10.685.500,00 in one month, while the lowest net income that can be obtained by a gojek driver is Rp1.222.000,00 in one month.
