Abstract
Basically motivation aims to give someone a mental boost in doing a thing. External and internal motivation is very important in the job because the motivation of someone is able to work properly. The work also requires training in order for one to understand his or her responsibilities in an organization. In this study describe the effect of training on performance through the motivation of employees ' work in the hospital of women and children of Surabaya with a sample number of 135 employees using random sampling technique. The results of the analysis stated that the training had an impact on performance with a significant 0.001 and the motivation affected performance by a significant 0.002. Then hypothesesis that states that training affects performance through motivation is acceptable.
