Abstract

This study is entitled "The Effect of Work Environment and Individual Behavior on Employee Performance through Work Motivation in the Maintenance division of PT Timur Megah Steel Gresik". Aims to examine the influence of the work environment and individual behavior on employee performance through work motivation in the maintenance division of PT Timur Megah Steel Gresik. This research uses descriptive quantitative method with a population of 35 respondents. The sample used uses a saturated sample that is the sample taken from all employee populations of 35 respondents. Data were collected using a questionnaire method with a Likert scale and documentation. Test requirements analysis uses validity test, reliability test, classic assumption test and variable testing using path analysis. The results of the study prove that: the work environment has a significant positive effect on work motivation with a sig value of 0.146> 0.05 and the effect value is 13.4%, individual behavior has a significant positive effect with a significant value of 0.000 <0.05 on work motivation with an effect value of 104.9%, the work environment has a significant positive effect with a sig value of 0,000> 0.05 with a value of influence of 62.3% on employee performance, individual behavior has a significant positive effect with a sig value of 0.001 <0.05 on employee performance with a value of influence 102 , 7%, work motivation has a significant negative effect with a sig value of 0.001 <0.05 on employee performance with an influence value of -95.3%, work environment on employee performance through work motivation is not a significant positive effect with the value of the direct influence greater than the effect indirect, i.e. the direct effect beta value of 62.3%, individual behavior towards kine Employee work through work motivation is not a significant positive effect with the value of the direct effect is greater than the indirect effect of the effect value of 102.7%.
