Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the influence of direct and indirect variable competence to motivation on the performance of casual laborers daily part production in upbjombang. 104 respondents taken using sample technique with slovin formula Sample amount in this research is employees of Production Division at UPB Jombang. Then the analysis of the data obtained in the form of quantitative data. The result of analysis conclude that the regression coefficient value of employee performance variable at UPB Jombang is 8,175, competence variable 0,240, motivation variable equal to 0.345. Result of t test of competence variable to motivation toward 8,342 ≥ 1.98350 (t arithmetic ≥ t table) so that stated competence variable brpengaruh to motivation, Test Result t Variable competence to performance equal to 2,814 ≥ 1.98350 (t arithmetic ≥ t table) so that competence performance, t test Result of motivation variable to performance equal to 3,877 ≥ 1,98350 (t arithmetic ≥ t table) so dinanyatakan motivation effect on performance, coefficient directly give value 0,279 and coefficient indirectly equal to 0,881, so expressed motivation as intervening variable between competence to employee performance. Coefficient of determination R2 on structural competence to motivation equal to 60,6%, coefficient determination R2 on structural competence motivation to performance is equal to 75% indicate that independent variable of both structural able to influence variable dependent with strong
