Abstract

: This study explains the relationship between Internal locus of control on intrinsic motivation and employee performance of ceramic companies in East Java. Data were obtained from a sample of 160 level employees at the production department, which consisted of Raw Material, Body Preparation, Drying and Packing. There are three findings. First, the Internal locus of control significantly influence intrinsic motivation, this is indicated by the p value of 0.003. Second, an Internal locus of control has a significant effect on employee performance, this is indicated by the p value of 0,032 and the third intrinsic motivation has an effect on significantly to employee performance this is indicated by the p value equal to 0,047. The result of the research shows that Internal variable of locus of control is not dominant to form performance but must pass first intrinsic motivation owned by employees
