Abstract
This research was conducted to find out the influence of the motivation and the work achievement on the employee performance through the compensation at PT.Dana Purna Investama. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of the variables directly between the motivation and work achievement variables on the variable compensation influence indirectly between motivation and work achievement variables on the variable of employee performance through the variable of compensation as intervening variable. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach, that is, research that focuses on testing hypotheses by statistical methods of analysis tools and produce conclusions. This research population is 40 people is an employee of PT Dana Purna Investama Surabaya with a sample number of 40 people by using the method of census. Method of data collection documentation and questionnaires, methods of analysis, namely test instrument (test validity and reliability test), a descriptive analysis of the percentage of a classic assumption test, a test of determination coefficients (R2), the t-test and analysis of the path (path analysis) using SPSS for Windows 21.0 Based on the results of the path analysis that influence motivation and work achievement variables on employee performance variable that is, motivation variable have a direct effect of 0,690, and the work achievement has a direct effect of 0,378. compensation as an intervening variable has an effect of 0,126 on the variable of employee performance. Then if motivation through compensation to affect employee performance, it is known the effect of 0,536. Meanwhile, if the work achievement through compensation to affect employee performance, it is known the effect of 0,269. Based on this it can be seen that, the influence of motivation and work achievement on performance of employees will be larger if without passing through compensation. Based on the result of coefficient of determination (R Square) is 0,583 on dependent variable of compensation, mean percentage of influence of motivation and work achievement to compesation of 58,3%. The determinant coefficient of 0,571 for the dependent variable of employee performance means the percentage of influence of motivation, work achievement and compensation on employee performance of 57,1%. And based on the results of multiple regression results also show that motivation, work achievement and compensation to have a positive influence the employee performance
