Abstract
This study aims to determine the influence of the work environment on work motivation and performance of employees. Path analysis was utilized in this study with work environment as exogenous variable, work motivation as an intervening endogenous variables, and performance variables as endogenous depending variables. The population of this research were employees of Weighing Unit (Weighbridge) Task Force at The Department of Transportation and LLAJ East Java Province with amounted to 299 persons and the number of samples of this study were set at 185 respondents which were obtained from the total number of indicator variables used in the research multiplied by 5 (5 x 37 = 185). The result indicated that there was a positif impact of work environment on work motivation, as well as positive and significant impact on employee performance. Meanwhile work motivation influenced employee performance.
