Abstract

Rapid technological developments lead also to the flow of informationreceived by the community. People will be acknowledged to a wide range ofproducts that can meet their needs, each of which has the advantage of themany alternative choices. This causes people to become more rational intheir needs. The expected product by consumers is a product that has highquality, high innovation, flexible and affordable. It turns out that quality isthe base for consumer in selecting goods and services required. Quality hasmore attention than price. Consumers can be satisfied if the goods orservices purchased have the expected quality. In the long run consumerswill create loyalty in a company that provides a satisfactory quality. Manycompanies have not applied quantitative methods, which includemathematical and statistical control of product quality. Statistical quality control is one tool that can help management to control product quality andalso the costs caused by damage to a program to address it effectively.
