Abstract

This research was written in order to redefine Keynes's theory of interest as a monetary instrument in the economy. The research approach taken is mixed methodology, mixed methodology explained a research approach that combines quantitative and qualitative data and methodologies. The results of research that have been done show that inflation controlled by interest rates has a negative effect on the economy, 40% of the total sample shows growth negative in the period 2010-2017, 37% grew less than 10% and only 13% enjoyed growth above 10%, this is contrary to Keynes's Theory of using interest as an economic control instrument.
