Abstract

The company always improve the quality and quantity and strive to be better than before to achieve the objectives that have been established. This research is intended to allow employers to know that there is a simple stimulus that can be developed to improve the motivation of work that is about the influence of career development, incentives and social security at PT. Matahari Department Store Tunjungan Plaza Surabaya. This research is done with a quantitative approach, namely research that emphasizes on hypothesis testing with statistical method analysis tool and generates conclusions that can be generalized. The samples in this study were 100 employees at PT Matahari Department store Tunjungan Plaza Surabaya. Samples of respondents in this study used the purposive sampling method. The test equipment used is the analysis technique of multiple linear regression with SPSS 16.0 software. After testing the hypotheses submitted, the variable regression coefficient of career development was 0.210, the incentive variable of 0.233, and the Social security variable by 0.096. And f test value of F count 3.583 > F table 2.698 with significance of 0.000 < 0.050, which means career development variables, incentives and social security simultaneously affects the motivation of employee work. Hasi Test T Career development worth t count = 2,131 > T table = 1.985 Incentive t count = 2,292 > T table = 1.985 and Social Security t count = 0.924 < T table = 1.985 meaning independent variable career development significantly affects employee motivation work While social security variables have no significant effect on the employee's work motivation.
