Abstract

At this time, the development of technology is growing rapidly. Business activities trough online media or e-commerce are already became a major activity for business people. One example of e-commerce is GoFood services. The purpose of this study is to determine how the comparison of sales volume and profit obtained by MSMEs before and after using GoFood online services. This research was conducted at SMEs Sri Tahu Bakso, Surabaya. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative method, namely research related to explanations related to social phenomena, and the results of the study were not obtained through statistical processes or other calculations, which aim to describe the object of research at present based on facts as they are, then analyzed and interpreted. The sample used in this study is the data of sales reports and income statements of Sri Tahu Bakso before and after using GoFood online services, namely 2016 to 2019. The techniques for collecting data from this research are using interview, observation, literature study and documentation. Based on interviews with the owner, Sri Tahu Bakso started to join GoFood services in 2017. The results of the study showed that MSMEs experienced an increase in sales volume and profits gained since joining GoFood services. The sales volume of Sri Tahu Bakso before joining the GoFood service or in 2016 was 27.310 pieces of meatball tofu, in 2017 the sales volume reached 47.077 pieces, in 2018 the sales volume reached 93.186 pieces, and in 2019 the sales volume reached 96.032 pieces of meatball tofu. Sri Tahu Bakso's net profit at the time of not joining the GoFood service, which in 2016 reached Rp7.333.972,00. Whereas when Sri Tahu Bakso began to join GoFood services, namely in 2017 the amount of net profit gained reached Rp16.210.778,00. In 2018, the total net profit obtained by Sri Tahu Bakso reached Rp36.299.061,00, the amount of such profit was a very high compared to the previous year, namely 2017. And in 2019, the increase in profit earned by Sri Tahu Bakso reached Rp37.792.407,00, when it compared with 2018 the number of increases that occurred was not so high and tended to be stable.
