Abstract

PT. Orela Shipyard Ujung Pangkah Gresik is a company that manufactures steel and aluminum vessels, repair and maintenance services for steel ships and aluminum vessels, and general engineering with certain specifications based on orders. This company is very concerned about customer satisfaction in each order. Therefore, this research is intended so that companies can find out and analyze the influence of leadership style, motivation, and work discipline on employee performance. So the company can take measurements and evaluate the company's target so far. The number of samples in this study were 69 employees. The study was conducted using a quantitative approach derived from the results of the questionnaire, then answers from respondents were given a score (score). Analysis and data quality testing using SPSS 22 Software. Based on the results of the study, leadership style and work motivation are not significant on employee performance. Leadership Style used at PT. Orela Shipyard is a style of Free Leadership / Laissez Faire, the leader is involved in a small quantity where his subordinates are actively determining the goals and solving the problems encountered. In addition, companies need to increase employee motivation by paying attention to employee morale and welfare. The way that can be done for example is to hold training or activities that are encouraging or foster a sense of kinship and cooperation between employees with one another or between superiors and subordinates. As well as adding work facilities so that employees become more motivated to do work more optimally. The research model is y = 7.937 - 0.343 + 0.189 + 0.764, which shows that if the leadership style decreases, employee performance will rise.
