Abstract

This research was conducted at a company that is engaged in telecomunication, named PT Parastar Distrindo. This study aims to analyze the information system used in the company. It also analises the advantages and disadvantages the system used. The method used in this reasearch is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used in this study are: (1) Collecting data to get the desired information. (2) Summarizing the main points. (3) Presenting data to obtain conclusions. (4) Conclude the results of the study. The application of accounting information system in the goods (stock) will provide many benefits for the management and company itself in carrying out the business. The availability of goods has an important role as a physical economic resource that needs to be held and maintained to support the sales process. Sales activity plays an important role in the company, because of this activity will be formed income that will be used in implementing the plan set. In the discussion the author describe several disadvantages in the application of sales and inventory accounting information system. However, it doesn't affect much to sales activities of PT Parastar Distrindo Surabaya, so that it can be concluded that the sales and inventory accounting information system has been adequately applied
