Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of organizational culture and compensation on job satisfaction and its impact on employee performance in SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo. The purpose of this research is to know the direct influence between organizational culture variable and compensation variable to job satisfaction variable, indirect influence between organizational culture variable and compensation variable to performance variable through job satisfaction variable as intervening variable. This research was conducted by using a quantitative approach that is, research that focuses on testing hypotheses with statistical methods analysis tool and produce conclusions. The population of this study is 48 people are employees of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo with a sample of 48 people using the tekhnik total sampling. Methods of data collection of documentation and questionnaires. While the data analysis is done by t-test to determine the direct effect and path analysis to determine the indirect effect of using SPSS 21.0 for windows. Pursuant to result of path analysis known that influence of organizational culture variable and variable of compensation to performance variable that is, organizational culture variable have direct influence equal to 0,10, and variable of compensation have direct influence equal to 0,276. Job satisfaction as an intervening variable has an effect of 0.132 on performance variables. Then if leadership through the morale to influence work performance, known influence of 0.299. While the compensation if through job satisfaction to affect performance, known influence of 0.819. Based on this it can be seen that, the influence of organizational culture and compensation on performance will be greater if through job satisfaction. Based on the results of determination coefficient (R Square) of 0.739 on the dependent variable job satisfaction, means the percentage of leadership influence and work environment to work morale of 73.9%. The determinant coefficient of 0.845 for the dependent variable of performance means the percentage of influence of organizational culture, compensation and job satisfaction on the performance of 84.5%. and based on the results of multiple regression also shows the result that organizational culture, compensation and job satisfaction have a positive effect on performance.
